Emma Von Enck is a current principal with the New York City Ballet. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, began her dance training at age 5, attending the Royal School of Ballet under Joanne Morscher. Emma continued her dance education at the Cleveland School of Dance under the guidance of Gladisa Guadalupe and later at the Cleveland Ballet Conservatory with Kerry Skuderin. In 2011, she attended the School of American Ballet (SAB) summer intensive, moving to New York in 2012 as a full-time student. While at SAB, she was a Princess Grace Award nominee and received the Mae L. Wien Award for excellence.
Von Enck joined the New York City Ballet (NYCB) as an apprentice in 2016, was promoted to the corps de ballet in 2017, soloist in 2022, and principal in 2024. Throughout her time in the company, she has performed works by renowned choreographers, including George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Christopher Wheeldon, Justin Peck, Alexei Ratmansky, and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa. Additionally, she has collaborated with various choreographers and artists on new works. A 2021 Princess Grace nominee for NYCB, she has also participated in international collaborations, bringing ballet to global audiences.
